Born in Campiglia Marittima (LI) 1976, and moved to Cremona in 1994 where he began his first approach in the art of violinmaking working in the Master Stefano Conia’s workshop where he could perfect his style, learning and getting the art of stringed instruments making . In 1998 he graduated at the "International School of Violinmaking" of Cremona. At the request of that same school he gave an inlaid viola , made after profound studies on the Hellier models by A: Stradivari, to its Museum
He lives and works in Cremona, where he opened his workshop in via G. Bertesi.
Actually, his instruments are more then appreciated, cherished, by a growing number of very important Italian and foreign musicians and passionate violin player boast a large market and demand from Japan to the United States as well as in Europe.
He has acquired deserved recognition in the field of restoration and actively developed his talent by specific and deepened studies based on the forms and relative works of Antonio Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesù, Nicola Amati and Giuseppe Ornati
Currently Raffaello Di Biagio is engageding continuous activity in order to promote the knowledge of violin making, in this view he accept to became councilman of Ente Triennale degli Strumenti ad Arco of Cremona.
His instruments are periodically exhibited at the “ Raffaello Di Biagio stringed instruments Exhibition” in Tokyo (Japan), Greenwich-Riverside, Wesport, Los Angeles (USA) and Ottawa(Canada).
He is a member of the Violinmakers Consortium“A. Stradivari” in Cremona.
He co-operates with many international societies in order to better his abilities both in violin making techniques and in musical art.
